I have played countless of hands of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of money at 21. The gambling halls have made it nearly impossible to defeat the house.

I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over this time period I have gambled on a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get loaded with this tactic or beat the casino, still you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that 21 seems to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original sum.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a couple of years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the runs you notice gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a $5 table.

Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar bet

Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 wager

Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20

Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet

Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet

Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $80

Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the initial 80 dollar bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial one hundred and sixty dollar wager

If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
